As we previously noted, the invitations for William and Kate’s royal wedding achieved elegance via simplicity. Of course most of us do not have access to the Queen’s monogram, but the same elegance can be achieved with the beautiful filagree of our Regalia invitations. Mightyvites’ inaugural customer, Crissy, chose Regalia wedding invitations, as well as save-the-dates, in a stately black on cream paper.
While the Regalia design is a perfect match for a traditional wedding or formal occasion, it is also an extremely versatile design. I’m from New Orleans and hope to one day have an outdoor New Orleans wedding (not in summer of course!) This example of Regalia with the black and cream color combination calls to mind the beautiful ironwork of the balconies in the French Quarter. One can also see the allusion to a floral centerpiece or lace decorations hanging in a grand ballroom.
You or I will probably not have 1900 invited guests to a ceremony at Westminster Abbey, but we can all strive for elegance. I’m sure Crissy and Gary’s wedding ceremony was every bit as elegant as their wedding invitations.
