Chicago Wedding Customizes Skyline Design

We’re always excited to see what customers will do to make our existing designs their own. After all, invitations should reflect the look and feel of your wedding and ultimately be an expression of the happy couple. We think Eva and Adam did a great job in customizing our Skyline design to suit their Chicago wedding.

The couple chose to use the colors ebony and buttercream from our palette to reflect the beauty of the Chicago skyline at night. They also slightly changed the font from the original design, which was set primarily in a script font with a sans-serif for the names only. Eva and Adam chose to omit the script and set the entire invitation in the sans-serif font. The result is a clean and contemporary feel which we think works great! Congratulations to the newlyweds, and props for representing our fair city so well!

Wedding Invitations From Bay Area Feature Dainty Floral Design

There are a few designs in the gallery that have yet to be purchased for print. Obviously not our hottest sellers, these designs are sleepers just waiting for the right customers to come along. Dainty Floral had been one such design. Then, one day last summer, Manish & Aarti of Northern California’s Bay Area chose it for their wedding invitations.

When a sleeper gets picked for wedding invitations we get excited. It’s fun to wake the design with the customer’s color and wording customizations. In this case Manish & Aarti strayed away from the gallery color combo of robin’s egg and steel and added some serious pop with raspberry. That worked great, in my opinion, and really brought the wedding invitations to life.

Notice Online Wedding Invitations From New Jersey

We’ve done the notice design for online wedding invitations many, many times before. Last summer we had the privilege of doing another set of prints in this popular design for customers Jason & Elizabeth of New Jersey. I do believe these were our first customers from the garden state, and we were happy to help with their wedding.

Jason & Elizabeth went with a twist on the classic notice design print. Their wedding invitations were digitally printed on cream paper with colors crimson, charcoal, and — instead of the usual robin’s egg — jade! Jade proved to be a very nice substitute for robin’s egg and showed us a new side of notice that we had not yet seen in print. We love it when our customers choose a color from our palette and make it work wonders with one of our invitation designs!

Electronic Wedding Invitations Roll Into Ohio

Ohio is a big state. The country is reminded of this every US election season and Chicagoans, like us, observe the fact often when introduced to new folks around town. Chicago draws a lot of people from Ohio, and I presume a lot of Chicagoans end up calling Ohio home. So why’d it take so long for our electronic wedding invitations to reach the buckeye state?! Who knows, but they did get there this past summer when customer Scott and his then fiancée Rebecca chose the rolling waves wedding invitation for their big day.

Often used for destination weddings, the rolling waves invitation was used by these Midwesterners to invite folks to the beaches of North Carolina. Following the gallery example Scott and Rebecca digitally printed their wedding invitations on cream paper in colors dewdrop and chocolate. The RSVP enclosure was printed to match and the RSVP website was customized with matching graphics. That is, of course, how we do it here at Mightyvites — all our printed invitations are matched in design with online RSVP. What more could you ask for in a modern, formal event invitation?

Valentine’s Day Thoughts On Marriage

Engaged on Valentine’s Day? Then time to start thinking about wedding invitations! Like this handbill design digitally printed on cream paper in colors citrine and plum.

I’m writing this on Valentine’s Day, the one day of the year that is set apart from the rest of the calendar by a theme of romantic love. It’s a day on which single people ponder their prospects and spoken for folks reflect on how lucky (or unlucky!) they are. For some it’s a day to level up their relationship by asking their significant other for their hand in marriage. If you’re in that camp, congrats! Regardless of the response it’s a significant step forward to recognize the one you want to be with and to muster up the courage to ask them to marry you. I know because two years ago on 2/12/11 I proposed to my wife and 8 months later we were married.

To all the lovers out there I hope you had a memorable Valentine’s Day!

Simple Wedding Invitations For Canadian Customer

Elyse and Corey, a 2012 customer couple from Canada, wanted minimally styled wedding invitations. When they stumbled upon our website they found what they were looking for in our simple wedding invitations design.

The couple liked our hybrid invitation concept, but were worried about a few guests on their list who had limited online access. That’s a common concern. Many of our customers have a small segment of their guest list that cannot easily RSVP online. There are a few ways we deal with this issue, but the most elegant (and the one that Elyse and Corey used) is to send an offline RSVP.

An offline RSVP is a traditional mail-in RSVP card. They can be ordered as additional enclosures when purchasing a Mightyvite. Once purchased we work with the customer to ensure they are sent to the correct guests. To keep the head count accurate customers can record the offline RSVP responses in the Mightyvites Planner.

Wedding Invitations Designed By Friend Transformed Into A Mightyvite

Jennifer and Omar of California’s Bay Area came to us with a wonderful idea: take the wedding invitations their friend was designing for them and turn it into Mightyvite. That way they could have the matching online RSVP, head count tracking, and envelope addressing included with all Mightyvites but still use the design their friend created. We were happy to accommodate, and did so by having our graphic designer work with their friend.

The resulting invitation was inspired by the marmalade design from our gallery but is unique in all respects (including the font, which Jennifer brought to us from a third party). As with all Mightyvites a matching RSVP card was sent with the invitation. In addition a second matching enclosure was sent to guests inviting them to a Mehndi party. All were printed on white paper in colors charcoal and evergreen. The final design was a lovely geometric pattern in cool Earth tone colors.

We enjoyed collaborating with another artist to bring their work to life as a hybrid wedding invitation. Doing so is not a chance we get often but is something we hope to do again in the future. Wedding Invitations In A Rush. We Can Help!

Wedding invitations tend to be one of the things that easily get lost in the shuffle of planning a wedding. On the one hand that’s surprising because without an invitation no one will come to the event. On the other hand it’s understandable because you can’t put together the details for the invites without first planning the wedding. That said it’s not surprising that a common request we get is to turn a Mightyvite order around fast. Folks often come to us 8-6 weeks away from their preferred RSVP date hoping to have their invites in the mail in 2-3 weeks. That’s the Mightyvites sweet spot. These customers aren’t so pressed for time that they need to send fully electronic invitations (a move they feel would set a less-than-formal tone for their wedding), but they need RSVPs ASAP and our online reply helps make that happen. Take customers Stephan & Ange from San Francisco, California. These folks needed 105 wedding invitations in the mail within 2 weeks of their order. They also wanted a custom domain for their RSVP website. We were able to deliver so that the invites were in the mail on time and guests had a typical 6-8 weeks to reply. Letterpress Wedding Invitation Features New York’s Catskills

The happy couple! Congratulations Courtney & Kelly!

Over the summer Steph, our family, and I attended the super fun wedding of our New York City dwelling cousin Courtney and her now-wife Kelly. The couple invited all of their guests out of the hubbub of their (sub)urban lives and into the tranquility of upstate New York’s Catskills.

To extend the invite Steph cooked up a custom themed letterpress wedding invitation featuring Catskills conifers and mountains. Letterpressed in colors crimson and robin’s egg on white paper, then paired with matching enclosures and an RSVP website, the complete hybrid invitation looked grand.

Courtney and Kelly didn’t stop with the invite. Instead they went the extra mile and had us letterpress matching place cards to help with the seating of their guests at the reception. Not as well known as our hybrid invitations, place cards are another piece of wedding paper that we do often provide. They’re a great way to carry the theme of the wedding, set by the invitation and/or save the date, to the actual event table.
